The American Heritage Dictionary definition of procrastinate is: to put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. But you don't neccessarily have to be lazy to put something off, it could be fear of the unknown, or not wanting to deal with challenges that a certain activity may present to you.
Most successful people get up with a plan already in mind and follow through, how many of us start something and never finish it. Is this how you want to live your life starting something and never finishing it because of your ever ending urge to procrastinate. Get up and put your self out there stop procrastinating and just do. If you want to go back to school do it, if you want to start your own business do it, you want to loose weight do it. Now I know there will be ups and downs and delays, but stop making excuses for why you cannot complete your goal. For most of us we are our own worst enemy and more than likely when we don't reach our goals its not because of any body else its our own doings. Procrastinating can lead you to a stressful and cluttered situation, why because what you didn't do that day will more than likely get put on to the next day and then the next day and the next. Until you have so much stuff that you have to do you don't know where to began. So stop, start right now, setting goals making plans and sticking to them, eliminate all distractions, such as friends, family, noise, and children, its okay to take a mini break when things feel to challenging, but set a time each day to do so and hop right back to it.
But also remember not to put to much on yourself, which can lead to the procrastination bug, of course you get tired who doesn't, know when too take a break, pick a lazy day just to sit back and relax make some time for you, if you notice that when you procrastinate you really can't relax because in the back of your mind you know there are things that you still need to get done.
